White Boar is our heroic Bosworth take on the rich Amarone style wines from Veneto in Italy. White Boar is 100% Shiraz (some years it is a Shiraz/ Cabernet blend) while Amarone is made using native varieties. Our grapes are cordon cut and vine dried, which concentrates both flavour and acidity. The result is a rich, soft, layered red wine with depth, concentration, power and flavour.
A selection of the very best barrels of Shiraz (67%) and Malbec (33%) from the wonderful 2021 vintage. 2021 was practically perfect, just like Mary Poppins. Everything went according to plan and the fruit (both red and white) was all amazing. This wine reflects the awesome season.
Chanticleer shows red fruits and is a lovely juicy wine, with a hint of blue fruits on the nose. It has a full blue-fruit palate and is a wonderful layered wine with a hint of dark chocolate and pepper too
The VFC has a nose of cassis and fine brandy spirit, as well as rich, round muscatels. This is very much an Aussie style of fortified wine, vaguely reminiscent of the Muscats from north east Victoria. It has a wonderful balanced sweetness on the finish. Warm fire, glass of this VFC, feet up. Perfection.
A vibrant and opulent Vintage Fortified Touriga Nacional (formerly known as a Vintage Port). It has terrific structure and body and has great tannins and concentrated flavors of black fruit. Pair with mature hard cheese, settle back in your armchair and reminisce about the good old days. Bottled in a 375ml bottle.
