Our brand-new Fiano is a fresh, textured mid-weight wine with hints of citrus and anise on the nose (with a hint of tropical fruit) and the merest whiff of gun smoke. You will find a little pineapple character on the palate too. Medium-bodied but FRESH! Chill and serve.
Vintage
Vineyard Notes
2025 was an early season – warm daily temperatures resulted in early bud burst (2 weeks ahead of the long-term average) and a short flowering period. Good conditions resulted in an even fruit set. The dry conditions throughout the season promoted healthy vine growth with minimal disease pressure. The warm, dry conditions resulted in an early start to vintage and small berries with remarkable concentration making wines with excellent balance, flavour development and structure. Yields were generally down across most varieties, as a result of vintage conditions. Vintage concluded by the end of March in time for everyone to enjoy Easter at home!
Winemaking
Winemaker Notes
Fiano was hand-picked from our Dam block on Gaffney Road, then taken just round the corner to the winery to be pressed off skins and fermented in stainless steel temperature-controlled tanks (with a small proportion being fermented in seasoned barriques)before settling and bottling.
